Training Hub
The Sex Education Collaborative Training Hub lists trainings for sex educators, facilitators, and other professionals on best practices for sharing important information with clients and the public. From teaching anatomy inclusively to effectively addressing bias in the classroom to addressing racial justice and equity in sex education, the Training Hub includes trainings, technical assistance, and policy support from state, regional, and national leaders in the field of sex education.

Social Emotional Learning Webinar
Social Emotional Learning (SEL) has become a framework that many schools are using to bolster students' academic achievements as well as their social and emotional skills. Teaching SEL in the context of comprehensive sexuality education can help young people develop the understanding and skills needed to navigate healthy relationships and healthy sexuality throughout their lives. In this webinar, participants will examine SEL foundations and how to utilize core understandings to enhance their sexuality education classrooms, including a focus on decision-making, relationship building and consent. Sexual Violence 101
This training is a brief overview of various forms of sexual violence, including rape, sexual harassment, and stalking, in addition to the importance of consent. We will discuss SB401 and look at how that has impacted sexual violence prevention education in schools. We will review curriculum options and programs for addressing this mandate.
- Indicator 4 (K-12): Explain the roles and responsibilities of a mandated reporter.
- Indicator 5 (K-12): Explain the state- and district-mandated reporting requirements and procedures.
Barrier Method Demonstrations
Become a self-assured demonstrator of external condoms, internal condoms, and dental dams with our useful tips and opportunities for hands-on practice on anatomical models.
- Indicator 2 (6-12): Demonstrate the steps necessary for effective external and internal condom use and how to access condoms. (S)
Child Abuse: Recognizing Signs & Intervening
Participants will gain knowledge and develop skills required to recognize signs that a child might be a victim of abuse or neglect. Participants will learn two ways to use mandated reporting as an intervention.
